Pocket Heart Ideas

Here is one way that you can use your pocket heart.
The pocket is especially useful if you need a place to hold something special while you are in the car.
Maybe a piece of jewelry?
But most of all, it will remind you of that special person.
Or that special pet?

Please dont forget to visit My Etsy if you have not yet bought your pocket heart. There are so many dogs that I would love to help at Gainesville Pet Rescue which is my shelter of the month.

Lia

Remember that post (here) when I said I fell in love with one of the dogs in the shelter?  Well here she is!
She looked so sad in the crate and I was so happy when one of the helpers told us we could take her outside.
I really loved her and so did Mommy.
If only we could have adopted her!
I didn't want to put her on my blog because I didn't want anyone to adopt her.
I know I was being selfish.
I check Gainesville Pet Rescue's website often and noticed that she is no longer up for adoption.
Do you know what that means?  It means she got adopted!
I am really happy for her, but I am dissapointed that I couldn't adopt her.
If the person or family that adopted her is reading this post, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease let me know how she is doing.
I hope she is happy and that she is getting lots of love.

Faux Paws

Yesterday I went to St. Augustine, FL. with my family to do some research for school.  We took a trolley tour around the city.
As we were passing by the many shops, I saw one I just had to go to!
The name of the shop is Faux Paws.
I was overwhelmed when I saw all of the dog things.
Behind the counter was shelves full of dog figurines.
There were so many different breeds!
Of course, I had to buy a black lab one.
They also had a variety of magnets and note cards.
I bought a magnet too.
The store also had pet clothing and pillows...
..mugs and collars and leashes!
It was an awesome shop!
You must go and visit it whenever you are in St. Augustine!

Keep Showing Your Love!

My Lola (grandma) came to me and asked what I was going to do now that Valentine's Day is over.  Do you stop loving or showing your love after Valentine's Day?  Of course not!
Unlike people, pets can't tell you when they are hurt or sick.
They always love you even when they don't expect much in return.
At least your pets have a home.
Think about the pets in the shelters and the strays that have been abandoned by their owners (who I personally think are cruel).  They need proper care and need to be loved and be a part of a family.

If you are unable to adopt, you can still help save a life by visiting My Etsy!  Don't forget that the shelter I'm helping for this month is Gainesville Pet Rescue.

Gainesville Pet Rescue and New Tally

Today I visited Gainesville Pet rescue.
I met the director, Ms. Heather and I told her about me and Tashi's Treats.  I was very shy so Mommy had to talk for me.
She seemed happy about how much money I already raised.
After meeting her, I went into the back room to meet all the dogs.
All of them were sooooooooo cute!
Look at these adorable puppies!
All the older dogs look so sad.  :(

There is a dog I fell in love with but she deserves a post just for herself.  I really wanted to adopt her but Daddy said no because it waouldn't be fair to Roxy who is very old.
Today was a very busy day but this post is long enough.  Make sure you check back again to see my later posts!

By the way, $60 has now been raised for
Gainesville Pet Rescue!
